MLT is the future of Triathlon, Bitcoin Cash is the future of money. The MLT Charlotte Triathlon event is going to be the first in the world where all of the competing sportsmen and women will be paid out in BCH.
MLT doesn’t conform to traditions
When one of your super fit, gazelle-like friends mention they’re participating in a Triathlon, your response is usually a mix of the below:
- OMG you are crazy.
- Isn’t that like, really hard?
- Amazing! You’re hardcore bro’!
At least, that was our mixed response when Bitcoin.com Marketing Manager, Gergo announced his Triathlon addiction during the CoinsBank cruise.
In our opinion, triathlons are challenging, they’re mentally and physically brutal. But, they’re also incredibly rewarding and not just as a finisher.
Triathletes aren’t just in it to win. They push themselves to the limit, to help others.
They raise money for charitable causes close to their hearts.
In MLT, the triathletes are participating, helping others and changing the world at the same time.
The difference between regular professional triathlons and Mixed Team Relay is this:
- A whole team participate- two professional men and two professional women.
- Each athlete in the team completes a ‘super-sprint’ triathlon circuit, once they complete the circuit, they tag the next team mate.
- The first team to have all four athletes complete the circuit, wins.
Super sprints usually consist of a 300m swim, 6-7 km bike ride and a 1.5km run. A typical MLT event lasts for less than 80 minutes. Which means it’s more show-like and the excitement continues throughout.
The mixed team relay format will make its debut at the Olympics in Tokyo 2020! MLT provides the top athletes in the world a platform to showcase their skills and boost their chances of being selected in to their country’s 2020 Tokyo Mixed Team Relay Team.
What about BCH? Where does that come in?
Instead of sponsoring athletes in USD. Ten MLT athletes at the Charlotte event are being paid entirely in Bitcoin Cash.
To show how serious athletes are about cryptocurrency, stats show that the best professional athletes in the world, are being paid out in cryptocurrency, BCH in particular.
Sports and Bitcoin Cash just work.
Why is MLT and BCH good for the world?
MLT lowers the barrier to entry for prospective triathletes. According to our triathlon completing team members, triathlons overall are usually expensive and intimidating in the sense of getting started–it’s usually too hardcore for most. Plus, training can sometimes take over your life.
MLT is bringing a new concept to the sport with their new, less terrifying format and pairing professional athletes with Bitcoin Cash. Triathletes, instead of racking up the kilometers every week, will focus on a quick, thrilling show–entertaining for spectators. All whilst helping to change our world and contributing to the mission of economic freedom for all.
