Ask any MMA fans in Las Vegas this fall and they will excitedly give you the lowdown on the grappling legend that is Kazushi Sakuraba. Bitcoin.com CEO Roger Ver, included. As a fan of Sakuraba for 18 years, Roger just announced Bitcoin.com’s sponsorship of the Quintet series organizer.
This sponsorship is a project of passion, not just for Roger but for many of the team here at Bitcoin.com who follow and practice MMA & BJJ (when they’re not working on changing the world with Bitcoin Cash.)
What’s Quintet about?
On October 5th, Sakuraba’s new ‘Grappling Team Survival Match ‘Quintet’ is taking place just before the huge UFC 229 fight where Khabib Nurmagomedov faces Conor McGregor in a much-anticipated fight.
If you didn’t see coverage from Quintet 2, the 3rd series is a match formation of two teams and five fighters and works on a process of elimination.
Here’s how the fights go down:
Matches begin with one fighter from each team competing. This is called a
“round”. When a submission is scored, the round is over and the defeated
fighter is out of the match.
The winning fighter immediately faces the next member of the opposing team in a new round.
The match continues, round by round, fighter by fighter until one team is
completely eliminated.
The two most successful teams from the opening rounds will meet in the
‘Championship Finale.’

MMA Need BCH
Bitcoin Cash is for everyone. But when it comes to sports, events and ticketing, it solves a lot of issues.
One of the main problems consumers have to deal with when buying tickets for events is transparency and fees. Buying tickets and merchandise using Bitcoin Cash is an effective way to track exactly when the transaction took place. Plus, fees are basically free.
For a full demo of our wallet and to receive your first Bitcoin.com wallet head to free.bitcoin.com or our booth at the Quintet event.
